The campsite is located in a very beautiful area by the shores of the Bolmen lake in the midst of untouched nature. Bolmen is the largest lake in Southern Sweden about 185 km² (71miles ²).

The campsite has a capacity of only 50 camping spaces - 40 for motorhomes and caravans all with electric power points, and 10 spaces for tents. The small size of the campsite, gives a better possibility for the campers to get to know each other and the hosts. All caravans and mobile homes are lined up in a semicircle with the forest in the background and with a view to the fish pond and the lake. Nobody blocks each others view. A telephone box is located nearby. It is an ideal campsite for families, where you can escape from the stress of work and an El Dorado for the children in the midst of the beautiful nature with the sandy beach to the lake.
 

Family fun

There is a large lawn on the campsite, suitable for all sorts of ball games. Furthermore there is a children's playground with sand pit and swings. A badminton net is placed on the lawn, and rackets are available from the reception. Opposite the lawn - on the other side of the fish pond - there are 2 large iron dishes in which you can make a campfire.

Swimming
The bay with it's sandy beach is adjacent to the camp site, and is excellent for the kids. In short swimming distance, you can reach a pontoon anchored in the lake.

Sauna
A Finnish log cabin sauna is located by the bay. It has a terrace and a jetty from which you can take a dip after the sauna session. The 10-12 person sauna also has a wash-room with hot/cold shower. The sauna is fired by wood.

Walks, berry picking and wild animals
For those who wish to go for a walk or go jogging, there are excellent possibilities on sign posted tracks and paths through woods - without getting lost. Depending on the season there are berries and mushrooms to be picked.
There are a lot of wild animals in the area - for example: Rabbit, fox, badger, deer and perhaps most interesting - the elk - the king of the woods.

Harbour and boat trips
The small harbour is located in a protected bay approximately 200 m down the road, and has adequate depth for sailing boats. The harbour has 4 mooring jetties with some spaces let to local boat owners, and the rest for our camping guests own boats, and our rental boats. There is also a ramp for vehicles to launch a boat from a trailer.

The Bolmen has a rich bird life on beautiful small islands with fine bathing bays and unique woods. A boat is available for guests. The lake is suitable for boating trips, and it is very popular to go for a paddle. There are many places where you can launch small boats. It is also possible to reach adjacent lakes.

Angling

Before starting to fish, you must buy a fishing license available from the reception. This license is valid for the whole 185km² (71miles²) lake. There are many different types of fish in Bolmen, where the most popular are Pike, Pike-perch and Perch, but aslo burbot (Lota lota), eel, tench and salmon trout have been caught.
Boats with or without outboard engine can be hired. There are nautical charts with depth details for the whole lake at the reception. In the harbor there is a place where you can clean your newly caught fish. Read more on "Boat hire and fishing"

Service buildings for the campsite
In the service buildings there is a reception with a small kiosk that sells ice cream and coffee, showers, toilets, wash-room with washing machines and tumble dryers, large kitchen with cooker, oven, microwave and 3 sinks for washing up. There is also a baby changing room. Toilet and shower for the disabled is also found here.

Cabins

All 10 cabins are roughly similarly furnished and decorated.

The living space of each cabin is 50 m2. From the lounge you have direct access to a terrace which overlooks the lake.

Cabins no. 1 and 2 have two bedrooms, both with bunk beds and wardrobe.

Cabin no. 3 has one large bedroom with double bed and wardrobe, and a couch in the lounge which sleeps 3.

Cabins no. 4 - 10 have one bedroom with double beds and one bedroom with bunk beds, both have wardrobes.

All cabins also have:

Entrance with wardrobe. Lounge with wood burning stove and dining corner. Kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooker, sink with hot/cold water and various kitchen utensils. Bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Terrasse with table and chairs.

All huts are equipped for the presence of 4-6 persons.

Cabin no. 1 is for the disabled.

Pets are only allowed in cabins no. 1, 4 & 10 and on the campsite.

Bed linnen and towels are provided by the guests themselves.
